Of Iranian origin, born and raised in Germany, Mosun first fell in love with Italian culture during her studies in Milan. What started as an interest in the language, soon became a fascination in everything Italian during the time Mosun spent with her husband’s family. Being Piedmontese and wine producers, the family spent a lot of time sitting at the dining table, talking about everything wine and food. Completely unaware, until then, of the complexity hidden in a glass of wine, she was fascinated by this newly discovered world. In 1994 Mosun and her husband moved to Hong Kong where Mosun decides to transform her newly found passion for wine into a business. Few years later in 1997 Mosun opens Abrate & Sons, initially importing only few selected Piedmontese wines and later, to please the requests of several chefs, also the famous White Alba Truffle. Today after over 20 years in the business and 2 children, Mosun has managed to collect a vast catalogue of selected producers and high-quality products from all over Italy. The exclusivity of the produce offered and Mosun’s style of customer service have made her well known in Hong Kong and Macau.
