The winery Poggio dell’Aquila is nestled in Montalcino, perched on a charming hill surrounded by ten hectares of beautiful vineyards. Here, only the prized Sangiovese Grosso grape is cultivated, which they use to craft their authentic Brunello di Montalcino.

This is a small, passionate winery that genuinely cares about the quality of their wines, and their approach reflects their dedication to excellence.

Their commitment to sustainability is a key part of their philosophy. Starting with practices that have a low environmental impact, they took a meaningful step in 2012 by beginning the transition to organic farming, which was officially certified with the 2015 harvest.

The journey to perfection begins in the vineyard, where Poggio dell’Aquila carefully tends to grow the finest grapes while intentionally maintaining a limited production. Today, their annual Brunello di Montalcino production remains at just 10,000 bottles—a true testament to their passion and dedication.
