St. Pauls Winery was founded in 1907 and has been passionately crafting wonderful wines ever since. We believe that a wine should truly reflect its origin — its terroir — where climate, soil, tradition, and the local way of life come together beautifully. It’s all about capturing the unique character of the very place where our grapes are grown, and fortunately, St. Pauls is one of the most stunning wine-growing areas in South Tyrol. Surrounded by the majestic Alps and blessed with about 1800 hours of sunshine each year, our vineyards enjoy warm days and cool nights during the grape ripening season, resulting in fantastic, perfectly ripe grapes.
To care for this special environment, St. Pauls Winery has embraced energy-efficient machinery and sources power from renewable energy. About 60% of the electricity comes from a photovoltaic system, and they also use a gravity-fed system that moves the production within the winery using natural gravitational force, helping St. Pauls saving electricity. Additionally, they practice eco-friendly measures in the vineyards, such as avoiding herbicides altogether, because they truly care about preserving the beauty and health of their surroundings.
