From a 3-hectare plot within the Ginestra cru of Monforte d’Alba (50-year-old vines), on chalky white clay and sand, this 100% Nebbiolo is deep and powerful — iron, chalk, dried flowers, mint and red cherry build in the glass, with rose and bright red berries lifting the nose. Silky tannins and fresh acidity carry it to a long, elegant finish; more linear in most vintages, the 2021 shows unusual textural depth. Vinified in stainless steel with 12–16 days on the skins, then aged around 24 months in large Slavonian oak botti before 8–10 months of bottle refinement — the estate’s classical, low-intervention approach.
